Gearing Question

[:1]I know the general breakdown of Gear, BIS lists etc etc. Heres my dilemma, and asking for advice. I'm currently in a guild that is 6/7 heroic in firelands, with very little chance at killing heroic Rags, meaning the heroic helmet is out of the question. I have the heroic helmet off of heroic Lord Ryolith (hood of rampant distain). I also have the 378 tier helmet to get my 4 piece. My current off piece is gloves I have the heroic gloves from Shannox (gloves of dissolving smoke). I'm currently wearing the 378 tier + gloves of dissolving smoke, I am looking as possibly changing to the tier gloves, and wearing the hood of rampant distain, for the additional armor, agility, stamina and dodge gain. The problem is I lose a little bit of crit *not much like 30, but I outright lose 235 mastery.*

So I guess my dilemma is this:

Double Heroic Items swapping my heroic hood of rampant distain, with a pair of heroic tier gloves.

VS

378 helmet + heroic gloves, which are better for overall itemization for mastery/crit, but i lose about 80 some armor, 40-50 agi, 60 stam, etc etc.

Any advice is appreciated

Leave it be imo. I would not take a lower itemlevel piece unless I need to absolutely reach a requirement. You have your 4pc and a nice OS 391 helm. You're not at any disadvantage not swapping to tier reg helm and OS gloves.

If mastery worries you then swap out the scales trinket...

Yah this is what I was thinking, I actually have the mastery trinket too, depending on fight i swap trinkets. Fluid Death/beth Trinket/scales of life, my 3 trinkets i swap in that spot.
